Fare to Remember catering was founded in 2000 and it was a full service off premise catering company this was focused on providing exciting cuisine, fantastic service and a stress-free event. Fare to Remember and its staff strive to achieve perfection no matter how large or small of an event, and provided everything from food and beverages, rentals, staff, décor and event coordination. The company started with 2 employees and over the course of 20 years grew to 23 full time employees and 65+ part time waiters, bartenders, cooks and support staff.
In 2020 as a result of the pandemic shutting down the event industry, Fare to Remember had to close its doors.
However, the phone never stopped ringing and after a 2-year break, ANOTHER FARE TO REMEMBER was born!
Owner Sarah Davidoff is a 1993 graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Hyde Park, New York. She received her B.S. and M.S. from the Florida International School of Hospitality Management. Sarah has been in the catering Hospitality Industry for 36 years!
Long Before Another Fare to Remember began, her passion to own a catering company started early in childhood, when she often cooked and baked with her mother. By the age of 16, she has started Sarah Davidoff Catering and was catering on weekends with the help of her high school friends. It was at this point that she new she wanted to own and operate her own catering company.
Prior to attending the CIA and FIU, Sarah was an apprentice in the American Culinary Federation’s (ACF) Chef’s Apprenticeship Program. During her years in the program, she worked at the Fontainebleau Hotel on Miami Beach. While in the program, Sarah was elected president of the Miami chapter and won several awards and honors both locally and nationally.
While attending the CIA she was elected group leader attesting to her communication and leadership skills. She graduated with Honors and was invited to be a teaching fellow in the Escoffier Room ( only 14 are chosen a year).
While a student at FIU she worked for Bill Hansen Catering. Upon graduation she was hired by Gene’s catering where she was a catering manager. During her tenure with Gene, she catered everything from sit down dinners for 1200 to the Lipton Tennis Tournament. She then joined Events by Premier where she studied all aspects of Kosher catering. In 2000 she took a giant leap of faith and started her own catering company.
Chef Lesli Haber was born and raised in Miami. She started her culinary career when she was 15 working in a Bagel Shop. A proud graduate of Palmetto Senior High, she went on to study at Miami Dade College. While in school she continued working at the bagel shop. Over the next 25 years she worked as a chef at the Biltmore Hotel. Royal Palm hotel, Hard Rock Stadium Sky Boxes, Miami Marlin Stadium Dining club, the Miami Beach Convention Center and the Ritz Carlton Ft. Lauderdale. She found a love for catering while working for Creative Edge Catering and Bill Hansen Catering. In 2022, she joined the Another Fare to Remember as chef de cuisine.
